Some people have wondered how to do this. You can take your own ole regular everyday personal check and send it through the printer. You can either use the a laser printer, ink jet, or for some of you old school folks, an impact printer.
I found that you can go to Google and use the search term, “Personal Check Template”. It should yield a result from the famous Microsoft Office Templates site. Go there and download that template. You will want to give up a few of your personal check to ensure that the template is correct as far as it’s layout.
But, my friend! What happens if you have a personal check that has the little side attached. See the image below, since photos in this case are an easier way to depict what on Earth I am talking about.

All personal information was removed from the check for very obvious reasons. This is a standard size personal check. The same size as the one in the every day check book with or without duplicate copies.
Size with stub: L 9.25″ x H 2.75″
Size without stub: L 6″ x H 2.75″
When you have printed the check with the information you put in there, it should look something like the following.

You are able to download this template from this site. Just keep in mind, just as you see the picture above, the template only has the “Amount of Check” placed. Please feel free to modify the template to fit your needs. But for me, I only write a few check per month, so I don’t need all of the other information on there.
You can click here to download this template. This template is for use with Microsoft Word 2007. Please let me know what you think of this template. It took me about an hour to get it completely fixed and fitted to the check.
